Ok, so a few nights ago I had a dream that makes me wonder what the heck my subconscious is smoking and why it won't give me any.

I received an apron. A queen among aprons. Pink-and-purple plaid, trimmed with white lace. It was stunningly garish.

And then I decided, since the apron was too big for me, I was going to give it to none other than Canderous Ordo.

So I chased him around for a while, trying to make him wear it.

Not sure if he did or not. But he was shirtless while I was chasing him!

I'd like to begin my arguments by saying that that is the single hottest Sion picture I have ever seen.

STR: No arguments here. Sion is the Lord of Pain. He can take it. Hard. Okay, stopping now.

INT: He may be able to speak backwards accordion, but he seems to be having a bit of trouble with his English... no, Sion, you don't *hate* someone because they're beautful to you... heh. Kidding.

WIS: “I’m going to crush the Exile and drink her skull juices!” Five minutes later: “I wonder what her hair smells like?”

Sion Point/Counterpoint

I’m odd, so I’ll skip over the less corpsey guys and go straight for the Lord of Pain! Kneel before his unrelenting awesomenity!

Strength (STR): Sion’s basically one giant muscle with a lightsaber attached. Sure, his in-game character model sometimes looks like he needs to swallow a few eggs and get on the weight pile, but I know that when I fought him there at the end he repeatedly bashed my character’s brains into marmalade. He’s strong enough to control a good portion of the Sith empire (such as it is) and legions of e-vile assassins haven’t decided to team up for a go at the boss, something I attribute to more than a pretty face on Sion’s part.
Verdict: buff. Also stabby.

Intelligence (INT): Well, I never exactly saw him solving any rubix cubes. He can understand Nihilus’ gibbering nonsense, though, and being multilingual is almost always a sign of intelligence. Even if the second langauge sounds like an accordian played in reverse.
Verdict: smarter than a sack full of hammers. Maybe.

Wisdom (WIS): For all his “ooh, nothing can kill me, my will is like an iron fist… OF IRON!” ol’ Scarred ‘n’ Pasty always struck me as impulsive and easily ruled by emotion. Also, he can’t make up his mind to save his (pseudo)life. For example: “I hate Kreia!” Five minutes later: “Only I am worthy of being Kreia’s pupil. Or: “I’m going to crush the Exile and drink her skull juices!” Five minutes later: “I wonder what her hair smells like?”
Verdict: erm, I suspect he doesn’t wear a shirt because he can’t make up his mind which one matches his pants. Also, Sion’d no doubt believe that the word “gullible” wasn’t included in the latest edition of the Intergalatic Standard Basic Dictionary.

Constitution (CON): He can’t die. Well, he can’t die as long as you don’t hurt his feelings too much. Still, he’s survived having practically every bone in his body broken multiple times, not to mention a particularly nasty case of psoriasis.
Verdict: built like a brick (doot doot doot doot) house.

Charisma (CHA): He’s Scottish. He doesn’t wear a shirt. And his pants are flippin’ fantabulous. So what if he’s missing an eye? Paper bags were invented for a reason. Plus, he has that whole creepy-sexy obsession thing going with the Exile, and he actually sounds rather adorably concerned with what Kreia plans to do with her. (Shame they didn’t include that particular sound file in the game.)
Verdict: it’s okay, Sion. *I* think you’re hot.

Hmmm… I think I just did a really shabby job of building him up. Oh well, there goes my career as a publicist. Pick away, though honestly there's not much of the poor guy left.

Not only is 'alot' actually two words, but I wouldn't call it all very charismatic... matter of fact, it tends to get a bit annoying. (Note: I notice this with Atton, too. Both of them come on strong-- "I'm all ears, beautiful" and the whole underwear thing on Peragus --but then they start kvetching. Meh.) Even on Taris... you give the poor old guy 100 credits, and Carth is all, "Hope we don't need those credits later."

Hello! I don't know any of you, but your Carth photomanips and in depth discussion of the date-ability of KotOR men are highly entertaining. Plus, I'm a total fangirl, so I had to join. Here's a quick rundown of my polygon crushes.
In the first game, I had fun with Pilot McWhinebag but had my devious little heart set on Canderous. I actually convinced myself that his war stories were some macho way of flirting with my character, and that any minute a "grab and molest Mandalorian" option would appear. Sadly, I was proved wrong.
In the second game, I resigned myself to Atton (who suddenly became a heckuva lot more interesting after his little confession) but fell for the Iridonian mechanic with the sleepy voice. I think it was because he was so impossibly laid back compared to anyone else. My eyes about leaped out of my head when Bao-dur offhandedly complimented my Exile's outfit right in front of Atton- the cad. Disciple was okay but not challenging enough for my tastes. But my absolute favorite was good ol' Sleeps With Vibroblades. I thought I was just pulling a Canderous again and inventing the "romance" in his dialogue until I watched the game played with a male and realized just how different it was. Of course, a certain scene near the end totally proves it, which was awesome, and which infected me with the need to write twisted Sion/Exile romance fics. Which I do. :)
As a brief intro to me aside from fangirlyness, I'm a 21 year old psych student, I work with the developmentally disabled, I live in Arizona, blah blah blah. Oh, and I dressed as Mira for a contest on the kotorfanmedia boards because I'm a dork like that.

Yeah, I'm finally doing it. And I'm not happy about redoing it, I'll have you know. But here it is (if I finish it by the time school starts).

STR: Carth is a great soldier, it's always been said. He has definate visible musclies, and he's great at duel-weilding even with all the power it takes to control two guns. And...well, he's strong, take it from me.

INT: This may fall more under wisdom, but Carth trusts virtually noone. That's a safe way to live when you live a life like his. He probably developed some great battle plans. And he loves Revan, which is smart and it shows that he knows where the power is. Or it just shows that he fell for the fabulous Revan ;)).

WIS: Well, like I said, he doesn't trust. And he respects women and knows how to treat them (aka you show her a little respect or you'll end this conversation minus a few teeth.) Haha, I love that. And he can tell when he's said too much.

CON: Emotionally, he pretty much never `cracks after all that icky stuff in his past. And physically, he's often the last in my party to fall. Weird, eh? And he survived through the whole Endar Spire thing, though I guess that wasn't really TOO hard....

CHA: El hotto. Plus he is good at commanding people during battle. He expresses his emotion, and, well, he talks alot. And he talks well. He's not afraid to express his views on the jedi ways, or on anything really.

There you go. Bring on the nitpicking.

Point-Counterpoint #2: Carth vs. Canderous

All righty, you know the drills. I'm going for Canderous here, and Julianna will be arguing on behalf of Carth. Not that I don't love Carth. But for the sake of argument... of course, possible spoilers for KotOR 1. If you haven't finished that game, why are you here? FINISH THE GAME!

--CANDEROUS--

STR: One look at Canderous, and you know he's been working out. A lot. A LOT. Ok? He's an excellent close-range hack-n-slasher, and a good ranged combatant as well, though we know that's dexterity, anyway, yes? But I digress. Also, he's got that whole regeneration thing going. And hey, he is quite buff. Quite, quite buff.

INT: Canderous is smarter than he looks. I know that's not the best way to start an argument, but it's true. My dear Candy... he was smart enough to follow Rev, even if you do turn your character dark. Candy knows where the power is. Amitious little tyke, isn't he?

WIS: All Mandalorians have the wisdom not to hate people who defeated them solely because they defeated them. Well, not Davrel, but that's irrelevant. Canderous is not an exception to this generalization. He knows where the power is and where the victory is, and he's going to follow them if he can. Plus after the whole Jagy sidequest, he gets really sobered up and then he's *really* wise.

CON: He can stick implants into his head that send things pulsing through his bloodstream. You've got to have some sweet endurance for that. And, of course, he can pretty much wear all the implants, ja?

CHA: CANDEROUS IS HOT. IT CAN'T BE JUST ME. I love him, man. Although his people skills may need a little work... but what about 'I'm your man till the end, Revan'?

Reference Guide: Point-Counterpoint

For future reference, I want to clearly define the categories for judging on Point-Counterpoint-style debates.

POSSIBLE HARRY POTTER 6 SPOILERS

Strength (STR): Purely physical strength. Raw, chiseled muscle power. There's not much to explain here, except that the category names don't refer to the attribute from the game. Therefore 'Strength' here can refer to pretty much any physical strength or Jedi power or whatever.

Intelligence (INT): Skills, intelligence, ability to think cohesively. General smartness and potential for said smartness.

Wisdom (WIS): The ability to use sound judgement and to think things through before rushing headfirst into situations. Wisdom does not necessarily denote Intelligence, nor does the reverse hold. Perfectly smart people may give into their emotions and do unwise things.

Constitution (CON): Endurance. Ability to survive despite overwhelming mental, physical, and/or emotional agony. Getting back on the horse after it throws you. To quote my father, however, "Resilient is when you fall off the horse and you get back on. If you fall off the horse, it kicks you, and you get back on, you're just dumb as a stump." I'm sure that either of these could be considered constitution, but they don't both point to wisdom, so watch out for that.

Charisma (CHA): The ability to convince others that they are doing the right thing. Irresistability. Attractiveness of any sort. Physical, emotional, grammatical, whatever gets you to believe that they're in the right and that you should follow them, whether they're really good or evil (coughSNAPEcough). It doesn't seem to matter anymore... Anyway, yeah. Charisma, as we all know, increases the Persuade skill in the second game. Think of it like that. Persuasion.

Now, I will nitpick your statements.
-Anakin Skywalker was not a true Jedi by the time he killed Count Dooku or before he openly fell to the Sith. If the Council had known that he was married, he would immediately been exiled from the Order. Also, the Jedi didn't defeat the clone army. The clone army defeated them.
-Yoda totally misinterpreted the prophecy. Remember? "A prophecy that misread may have been"?
-Yoda got wrinkled. Exar Kun didn't look a day over thirty thousands of years after he... turned thirty.
-Carth isn't a Jedi. Atton isn't always a Jedi. Anakin is not really a Jedi.

Aight yallz, I have nothing in particular against the Sith, but for the sake of arguement, here it goes.
STR: Anakin Skywalker easily sliced off the head of, um, what's his face, Darth...uh.... the dude who was holding Palpatine hostage. Luke Skywalker easily defeated that Rancor that Jabba attacked him with. The Republic totally SLAUGHTERED the Mandelorian in the war, if that really has anything to do with Jedi vs. Sith. How about defeating the clone army?Jedi are some seriously buff dudes.

INT: As for intilegence, recall Anakin's battle with Ol' Ben. Now, who was it that stupidly fell into the burning lava? Was it Obi Wan? Nope, it was the Sith traitor, Anakin. And there are many other instances. Plus, think of all the never-failing plans.

WIS: All I can say is Yoda. In fact, I'd like to hear one un-wise thing Yoda has said. I dare you. What's that? You can't? OH! Also, they have wonderful guidelines by which to live life.

CON: Um, hello, Yoda once again. I don't even KNOW how old he is! Through countless battles and the pressure of being a Jedi, he has maintained amazing physical and mental well-being. And as an added bonus, he's stayed cool under the influence of darkness. He can still fight and EVERYTHING.

CHA: Carth. Atton. Anakin before he was dark ( not really very pretty, after it). Padme was a very succesful politician. And how do you think those mind tricks work? Obviously, with oodles of charisma.
That concludes my pro-jedi argument.

I decided maybe we should start with the basics, as Julianna has not yet finished KotOR.
Today, I will be arguing in the favor of the Sith as Julianna and I debate over which is, indeed, the better side. We will be arguing in five different categories: Strength, Intelligence, Wisdom, Constitution, and Charisma. POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR EP III-- which you've all seen.

--SITH--

STR: Ok, you saw Episode III. I know you did, and you can't lie to me. So, needless to say, you saw Palpatine utterly obliterate Mace Windu and his three other buddies. Right? Yeah, I know, it was Palpatine with Anakin, right? Well, when the odds are 2-to-4 and you're up against Shaft, you'd be thinking "OH CRAP I'M TOTALLY SCREWED" right? But who won? That's right. The Sith.

INT: Darth Plaguis. Yep. That's the one. Pretty much had the smarts to create life. I think that this makes him more intelligent than anyone else. Darth Traya was smart enough to pretty much trick everyone. EVEN YOU. Darth Sidious was able to hide from the Jedi for a really, really long time. Like this:
Mace Windu: Sith? Shut up. There are no Sith.
Yoda: Delusional you are.

WIS: Uhh... Darth Traya was pretty wise. I guess. OK, maybe the Sith aren't as wise as they could be. But Darth Sidious could be wise. Like I said, he knew how to conceal himself until the right moment. I think that's pretty wise. Oh, and the clones. That was wise, I think.

CON: Exar Kun held himself in stasis for thousands of years. Darth Sion could live basically forever if he wanted to. Darth Sidious was old. Darth Vader was left dying and decapitated on the lava shores of Mustafar and he still survived. Emperor Palpatine lived on through his clones for years after the Rebels thought he was dead. That is endurance.

CHA: Exar Kun was hot. Aleema was hot. Ulic Qel-Droma was hot. Anakin Skywalker... well, I think the fansite Desiring Hayden says it all. Also, Darth Sion, despite the fact that he is supposedly physically repulsive, has an incredible magnetism. I THINK I AM GOING TO BECOME A DARTH SION FANGIRL. Anyone with me?? Yeah, seriously, though, even Emperor Palpatine must have had some sort of charisma. I mean, he was a very successful politician. And he had all those Emperor's Hands... yeah right he and Mara Jade were 'just friends'.

That is my argument. I await Julianna's rebuttal. Also, feel free to comment and chip in your own two cents. We wanna know what *your* stance is on the Jedi and the Sith!
